    Our faculty offers accredited degree programmes in health sciences that attract talented students and faculty from Denmark and internationally.

    We export our knowhow

    We offer customised educational modules in eldercare, rehabilitation, quality assurance and more. We currently train employees for nursing homes and eldercare services in China. 

    Summer school in Denmark

    Each year, we proudly welcome students from around the world for our international Health Summer school. 

    The summer school is designed for both Danish and international students. Recent subjects include welfare technology and dementia.

    Research, innovation, and development are important activities and are integrated in all of our degree programmes.

    As a university of applied science, our strength is our practice-led and cross-disciplinary approach to R&D. 

    At our research programmes and centres, we map new knowledge, analyse healthcare trends, and develop our educational programmes and the professions.

  • Consultancy services

    We export Danish knowhow  to China.

    Since 2001, VIA has built partnerships in China. In 2011, we established an office in Chengdu in the Sichuan-province, and in 2015 the Faculty of Health Sciences opened an office in Shanghai. 

    Our current activities in China include training employees for nursing homes and eldercare services as well as offering courses in caring for the elderly to the general population. 

    Export of knowhow

    We offer tailormade educational modules for healthcare professionals and decision-makers. The content of our modules build on our bachelor's degree programmes, such as nursing and occupational therapy. 

    Modules include:

    • Theory and models from Danish healthcare services
    • Basic modules in professional skills
    • Modules about specific health problems experienced by older citizens
