  • About Denmark Week

It started as a diplomatic relationship and turned into a full week displaying ´The Danish way of life´

Since 2013, Horsens Municipality, BusinessHorsens, Hedensted Municipality and, VIA University College have co-operated strategically to promote the respective parties’ interests in China, one of them being establishment of a joint representative office in Chengdu. All parties have collaborated closely with the City of Chengdu for several years.

In 2013 the parties held a Denmark Day with such great succes, that the event was extended to a full Denmark Week in 2015.

The week marked the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and China. The main idea was to create even closer bonds between the sister cities of Chengdu and Horsens and to bring attention to the co-operation between China and Denmark.

The participants in the 2015 Denmark Week were the Municipality of Chengdu, VIA University College, the Municipality of Horsens and Hedensted, The Central Denmark Region and The Social and Health Care College.
