About the programme
This professional bachelor degree programme is taught in Danish and Swedish and takes place in Aarhus and Jönköping. Prosthetics and orthotics develop advanced devices and assistive technologies for the disabled.
Subjects fall within both health sciences and engineering, such as anatomy and physiology, mechanics, mathematics and orthotic technologies. During their three-years in Sweden, students take an orthotics engineering degree.
Students spend the last two years of the 5.5-year long bachelor programme in clinical internship in Denmark or abroad. During the two-year internship, students receive a salary.
Graduates work with prosthetics, often in private practice. They often participate in professional teams in hospitals and institutions. Many pursue international careers, such as in troubled regions.
