Everything about the Innovation Award 2018

  • Background

Innovation is crucial in developing all areas of our society.

By hosting an innovation award for students, VIA University College pays tribute to young talents and supports the realization of innovative ideas, which help develop our society.

The Innovation Award 2018 is organized in cooperation with: Connect Denmark and Forskningens Døgn.

  • The assignment

To participate you need an innovative idea for a product or solution that benefits society.
You can find inspiration by looking at the challenges you’ve experienced during your studies, practice placements or clinical practice.

Your project is evaluated by a specialist jury, who looks at both the degree of innovation, and on whether your idea accommodates future societal challenges. The jury also looks at whether your project can be realized in the foreseeable future.
  • Theme

How does today’s youth handle the challenges of the future?
'Children and youth of the future' is the theme at VIAs ‘Forskningens Døgn’ event, which will be held on April 24, 2018, at VIA Campus Aarhus C.

The Innovation Prize is awarded on the day of Forskningens Døgn and contributes to the theme by focusing on how today's youth tackles the challenges of the future.

However, participants for the Innovation Award are not expected to include the theme in their project pitch.
