Everything about the Innovation Award 2017

  • The background

Innovation is a crucial element in our modern knowledge society in which innovation becomes more and more essential to social development.

By launching the Innovation Award VIA University College aims to pay tribute to young talents and support realization of in-novative ideas, which create growth and development in society.

The Innovation Award 2017 is organised in cooperation with: Connect Denmark and Forskningens Døgn

  • The assignment

Your project will be evaluated by a specialist jury, who put emphasize on both the idea’s degree of innovation, on whether the project can be realized in a foreseeable future and whether the project is related to the theme of this year’s Innovation Reward: RETHINK. You can read more about the theme under “Theme 2017”
  • Theme 2017

The 2017 Innovation Award will focus less on production per se and more on the pathways through which production takes place.
Introducing the theme RETHINK, students are invited to present their ideas on how to implement more intelligent and sustainable solutions. Can we come up with new solutions to well-known challenges by for instance combining existing products and technologies? Can waste be recycled for new purposes? Is it possible to encourage more physical activity in schools by rethinking existing learning modes?
  • How to participate

All students attending a higher education in Denmark can participate. Deadline is March 9th 2017 12.00 am.

    2) Make a visual presentation of your project idea in form of a video or multi-mediaproduction (max 2 min.) in which you briefly outline the main concept of your idea, and how it can be realized.
