Aims and learning outcomes in International Class and Teacher Education

The modules have different learning goals and result in different learning outcomes.

Learning aims

During the semester you will learn to:

  • Develop and integrate an intercultural dimension in relation to teaching.
  • Employ innovative learning processes in teaching.
  • Apply entrepreneurial approaches in teaching.
  • Acquire intercultural communication skills. Also research skills with special reference to the international dimension in the Danish primary and lower secondary school.
  • Develop an understanding of the teaching profession with reference to the school and educational system in the EU and other countries. You will also develop your classroom management skills concerning relationship and dialogue.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the modules students will be able to:

  • Develop and implement an international dimension with intercultural perspectives in an educational context.
  • Manage learning processes that take into account the development of the individual pupil. And of the social and communication skills and conflict management in various social contexts.
  • Cultivate intercultural communication skills and research skills, with special reference to the international dimension in the Danish school.
  • Understand the teaching profession with reference to the school and educational systems in different countries, mainly the EU.
