Campus Aarhus N is home to seven of VIA's health professional programmes. This means that students become part of a community of health professionals located close to Aarhus University Hospital.

    Campus Aarhus N has modern facilities with a focus on both the academic and social aspects of student life. 

    Campus Aarhus N’s buildings are new and designed with a focus on a lively student environment with room for study groups. 

    That means Campus Aarhus N is furnished with many group rooms and sofa groups in the light and attractive common areas. 

    The heart of the campus is its canteen and atrium, with high ceilings and light coming in from every angle. 

    This campus is dedicated to health education, with 2600 students from seven different educational programmes. The campus is located close to Aarhus Hospital. 

    The newly-built campus was taken into service in summer 2011 and was officially opened by Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary. 

    The facilities include: 

    • Five auditoriums with new technical equipment for lectures and presentations 
    • Two well-lit gymnasiums 
    • Free admission to the fitness room with treadmills and other training machines 
    • Student library with more than 70,000 books and space for contemplation 
    • Large canteen with a focus on healthy, organic food. The canteen also offers takeaway food. 
    • A student priest who is available for counselling, regardless of your religious beliefs. 
    • Large south-facing terrace attached to the canteen 
    • Beach Volleyball court for all to use 
    • Free Wifi 
    • Access to copy machines and printers 
    • Cozy student café for social get-togethers, Friday bars and musical events 
    • Bookshop where you can buy schoolbooks and other material relevant to your studies. 
    • Access to the campus 24/7 with student card. 

    Learning rooms: 

    • Four simulation laboratories for nursing students 
    • Large gastronomy workshop and kitchen for students in Global Nutrition & Health 
    • Training area for students of occupational therapy 
    • Two laboratories for Biomedical Laboratory Science students 
    • Two gymnasiums for physiotherapy students 
    • Movement laboratory for physical tests.
  • Activities

    You can be part of academic events and parties from many different programmes.

    At Campus Aarhus N there is a tradition for a number of regular events throughout the year. One is an introductory party as part of the beginning of studies, and there is also a Christmas party, summer party and graduation celebration. 

    There are also a number of event committees that arrange a number of social activities including: 

    • Professional presentations 
    • Parties with live music 
    • Friday bar 
    • Events focused on health and exercise.
  • VIA Student Incubator

    VIA students learn to develop and carry out new ideas and projects.

    At the VIA Student Incubator, students work with innovation and entrepreneurship. They learn to develop and generate new ideas and projects. 

    This can be the student's own ideas or external projects being carried out in co-operation with local institutions and companies, municipalities or regions. 

    Activities and advisory services 

    VIA Student Incubator in Aarhus offers free innovation activities and advisory services about entrepreneurship. We also offer office space to VIA’s students in town.

    Do you need help finding accommodation in Aarhus?

    Aarhus is Denmark’s second-biggest city and a popular place to study. 

    Thousands of international students come to Aarhus each year to study at VIA University College and the city’s other educational institutions. 

    This creates a lively international atmosphere in the city, where it is easy to meet people with similar interests. 

    Accommodation for exchange students 

    If you are accepted to one of VIA’s exchange programmes, we will be happy to help you find a place to live while you study. We have agreements with a number of student dormitories.

    If you are accepted into one of VIA’s full-time programmes, you must find your own accommodation.

  • Transportation

    City busses run from central Aarhus to Campus Aarhus N.

    Campus Aarhus N is located in the Skejby neighbourhood 5 kilometres north of the main train station in Aarhus Central. 

    From the main train station, there are regular city buses to Skejby with a stop a few minutes’ walk from Campus Aarhus N. 

    Bike to the campus 

    You can also bike to the campus. Biking is very popular in Denmark, and you can purchase a bike cheaply or rent one if you like. There is a bike lane all the way from downtown Aarhus to Campus Aarhus N, which is about 5 kilometres. 

    Campus Aarhus N has 1,500 bicycle parking spaces. 

    Aarhus is generally very bike-friendly, with bike lanes all the way to both the forest and the beach.
