We study the practice of education

VIA Profession & Education

Centre for research & development

The research centre VIA Profession & Education studies the profession of education. This includes methods, mentoring, evidence, and ethics.

About the centre

  • Research areas

Our areas of research are covered by four programmes

At VIA Profession & Education, we generate knowledge that qualifies the practice of professional education and the interplay between profession and education. This includes research in management, evidence and professional judgement.

Our centre is organised in four research programmes, which you can find below.

We strive to include theoretical, analytical and practice-oriented perspectives in our projects, which is why we work in close cooperation with central actors from professional education and practice. We share our knowledge through cooperation and continuing education to the profession and institutions of pedagogy and the social sciences.
