International students rank VIA as excellent

International student satisfaction continues to remain high at VIA University College. With a score of 9+ out of 10, VIA has won the Study Portals’ Excellent International Student Satisfaction Award 2015. Thus, VIA maintain its reputation as one of the best places to study.

The International Student Satisfaction Awards 2015 are based on 17,018 reviews made on STeXX (the student experience website) during the 2014 – 2015 academic year. Here, students have written about their experiences at institutions of higher education in foreign countries. A number of students praised VIA along the way. 

Appreciate entrepreneurship spirit and student focus 

One of the things that the international students appreciate about VIA is the teachers and teaching methods. They like the entrepreneurship spirit and the fact that they are being challenged to think outside of the box. Furthermore, the international students are very happy about the facilities and arrangements that VIA offers for students such as academic events, trips, parties, etc. 

The survey made by Study Portals confirms that Scandinavian universities in general have top international student satisfaction. Students particularly appreciate the Scandinavian universities for their organised student services and high academic standards. The only disadvantage mentioned by the students is the high cost of living. 

Rikke Nielsen, Director of VIA International, says the award confirms that VIA has something to offer international students. 

”We are very happy with the award, which shows us that the teaching style at VIA with dialogue-based communication and project-work as well as the entrepreneurial focus interests and benefits our students,” Rikke Nielsen says. 

The third best system of higher education worldwide 

In addition to student satisfaction, the Danish system of higher education ranks high internationally. 

A survey by Universitas 21, the leading global network of research-intensive universities, ranks Denmark as the third best system of higher education among 50 countries worldwide. Universitas 21 ranks countries in four areas: Resources, environment, connectivity and output.
