Happy people

Are you our new partner?

We collaborate with educational institutions all over the world. Our focus goes beyond student and staff mobility and includes short courses, tailor-made programmes and research activities.

Our academic partnerships

  • Research and development

We develop knowledge that helps solve societal challenges.

How do we take care of the increasing number of elderly people with chronic disease? How do we prepare our cities from flooding and create resilience to the effects of climate change? And what does the changing roles of school educators mean to children and our future?

These are among the questions, our researchers work to help solve.

    Centres and programmes

Our research and development centres and programmes develop knowledge related to the professions for which we educate students. Our degree programmes are based on the latest knowledge in their particular fields, and we help public and private institutions find new solutions to challenges facing the professions.

Information to research participants regarding data protection

If you participate in a research project and a VIA researcher has received personal data either from you or from others, these data are handled electronically. VIA University College is responsible for the data and has prepared a general information orientation that explains how we protect your data.

    Applied research as a hallmark

A hallmark of our approach to research and development is our focus on applied research. As a university of applied science, we build our projects on close cooperation with public and private partners.

  • Programmes in Danish

Our professional bachelor degree programmes build on strong Danish traditions for higher education.

Though VIA is an international university of applied science, the majority of our programmes are offered in Danish. We educate about a third of Denmark’s teachers, early childhood educators as well as many of the country’s nurses, physiotherapists and fashion designers.

Historically, our programmes have played an important part in developing the world-known Danish welfare society. Teachers, childhood educators, social workers, engineers, nurses, and therapists are just a part of the areas we cover. VIA also has a growing influence on private industries, through our programmes in engineering, design, animation, multiplatform storytelling, technology and health.

Below, please find short descriptions of our Danish-language programmes, including content and professional profile.
