Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

About the programme

This professional bachelor degree programme prepares students to work with rehabilitation and training of patients with physical and/ or mental disabilities or with health promotion and prevention. Focus is on helping people live their everyday lives with meaningful activities. 

Subjects include occupational therapy and rehabilitation in everyday life, at workplaces as well as in the healthcare sector. Working with innovation and creative solutions in cooperation with professional practice is a large part of the programme. 

Courses are taught as classroom teaching, lectures, project work as well as work in clinical practice. 

Professional profile

Occupational therapists work in hospitals, municipal healthcare institutions, rehabilitation centres, elderly care centres, schools for children with special needs and working environment authorities. 

Graduates can continue their studies to master’s and PhD level.
