    Prerequisites: Proficiency with Java programming

    Maximum enrolment: Maximum 30 participants. If there are more eligible applicants than available seats, they will be distributed according to first-come, first served basis.

  • Content

    In this course you will gain knowledge about and aquire skills in general mobile development principles, tools, patterns and best practices.

    The purpose of this course is to provide the student with knowledge, skills and competencies to be able to understand the tools, principles, patterns and best practices underlying Android development.

    The course covers various topics, which will provide the students with the qualifications needed to:

    • Understand general mobile development principles
    • Utilise Android SDK and Android Studio to develop mobile and ubiquitous computing applications
    • Define responsive and interactive user interfaces using the Android framework.
    • Establish communication to hardware sensors and external services from application components, as well as communicating in and between applications using the Android framework.
    • Handle resources and persist data using the Android framework.

  • Tuition and fees

    Accommodation, meals, insurance, visa and travelling expenses are not included in the fee

    EU-citizens = 250 EUR

    Non-EU citizens = 900 EUR

    Tuition fee waiver:
    Students from VIA, students from VIA’s partners or students from other Danish educational institutions can participate free of charge if they can provide proof of credit transfer into their own study programme.

    Accommodation, meals (food and drink), insurance, visa and travelling expenses to and from Denmark are not included in the fee.

    Note: This course is offered as a part of the Bachelor in IT Engineering. Seats available after allocating seats to credit-transfer students from VIA University College, Danish Higher Educational Institutions and partner institutions are offered under the Empty-place Scheme and the rules of Danish Open University. You must meet the admission requirements for the degree programme under which the course is offered.
