Main purpose
To enable the student to set up pipe network models for pressurized systems and analyze the systems. Analyze heat losses in a district heating network. To be able to analyze and renovate a gravity system.

• Identify the elements of a pipe network and describe their relations.
• Collect and critically assess the data for the model.
• Understand the function of a pipe network model.
• Understand how to calibrate a pipe network model.
• Data input and operation of Aquis.
• Data input and operation of Leanheat.
• Pipe renovation technologies
• Handle groundwater during excavation works
Skills
• Build and calibrate pipe network models in Aquis and Energis.
• Use the models for analyzing a pipe network.
• Suggest optimizations of a network based on the model results.
• Create and analyze scenarios.
• Use the model tools to propose solutions for a given network problem.
• Planning of renovation works
