Main purpose

Industries, markets and businesses are sometimes impacted or even rapidly  disrupted.
The various interests and power of stakeholders are increasing, and geopolitics is now on the agenda of the board. Because it must be.
Any company must mitigate with the impacts, risks and opportunities within the market & industry that they are operating in. Or wishes to operate in. 

Answers to questions such as are evident; 
What is sustainability? Should a company work with sustainability? And what does that really mean to that company? Their business model? Their supply chain?
Can working on sustainable measures give a competitive advantage?
Will the company work with ESG reporting? And/or with a double materiality assessment?

Why/why not?
And what is the right balance – for a particular company - between governance and commercial risks and opportunities?

Knowledge

The student must have knowledge of why a company works with sustainability. And how.

As well as knowledge of what is the right balance between governance and commercial risks and opportunities

Skills

The student must be able to assess how management mitigates the impacts, risks and opportunities within their market & industry.

As well as assessing how sustainability is – or should be - embedded in a company’s business model and supply chain

Assessing stakeholders and their impact on ESG reporting.
