Prerequisites

Main purpose

​The purpose of the course is to give students an understanding of the climate and utility services, their culture, and engineering career prospects.

Knowledge

​After the course, students gain insight into companies within the climate and utility services, their culture, as well as the various roles and job opportunities for engineers.​

Skills

​Throughout the workshop, students will refine vital skills such as keen observation, adept communication with industry experts, and targeted problem-solving in the climate and utility sector.​

Competences

​Participation in this workshop cultivates key competencies, including industry awareness and critical thinking, bridging theory and practice in the climate and utility sector.

Company visits:
- Water Supply Company and Water works
- Wastewater Company and Sewage treatment Plant
- District Heating Company and District Heating Plant

Teaching methods and study activities

One week of work for the student. 

Activities during the course are lectures, theory, fieldwork, exercises, and self-study.

Examination

Approval on basis of the following criteria:
Study activity based on attendance registration 
- Company visits, each company 20%, max 60%
- Three home assignments, one for each company visit, must be handed in on time and approved with a satisfactory result, 13,3% pr. assignment, max 40%

80% of the overall criteria must be fulfilled.
