My experience
Studying at VIA Design has certainly developed my ability to work in groups, as well as individually. The mixture of courses balances and connects research to concepts – thinking logically and creatively.
Engaging in the Danish way of life, work and education has allowed me to grasp the blend of professional and casual, whilst simultaneously enhancing my global skills through the vastly international community. This complemented wonderfully my internship as a Marketing and PR intern at Hugo Boss Nordics in Copenhagen and my exchange semester at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
Why did you choose VIA University College?
VIA Design thoughtfully combines elements of design and business through problem-solving.
Placement periods are an integral part of the curriculum, which help build industry-related work experience.
VIA also provides a schedule that allows you to not only learn in and about Denmark, but provides you with various opportunities to learn and live abroad, too.
My advice for students going to VIA
- Be proactive! VIA studies are very independent; opportunities are laid out for you to make the most of.
- Embrace the difference and always be open to take a chance!
- Lastly, learn how to cycle, kids! If anything, adapting to cycling everywhere has been as challenging as it has been exciting. I’ve learnt that sunglasses work quite well to shield your eyes from the rain!
