ANIDOX:RESIDENCY is a programme for the production of animated documentary short films, VR and multimedia developmet. Building on the already existing Open Workshop artist residency and ANIDOX:LAB training programme at The Animation Workshop.
The ANIDOX Residency is committed to facilitating the development, production and dissemination of innovative, rich, socially potent animation documentary projects of a very high quality. Together with our local and international partners, the ANIDOX residency expands and builds upon our existing residency programmes - by focusing on creatives and new hybrid narratives. Our residency, in the heart of the Animation Workshop, Viborg, DK, is a unique opportunity for immersion, collaboration and engagement. The residency offers a dedicated workspace and, uniquely, we provide our guest resident artists with the opportunity to work with a creative team in order to explore, experiment and support innovation. As experts in our field of documentary animation, we offer a fresh and relevant perspective while seeking to inspire and open up possibilities for filmmakers and artists.

We will be focusing our attention on intermediary and senior professionals seeking a new medium or fresh approach in their practice:
- Animation directors
- Documentary film directors
- Game creators
- New media (transmedia, VR, augmented animation) directors and producers
- Creative producers from the field of journalism, science and media industries.
