Getting ready to take on a career in the construction industry takes more than classroom teaching, assignments and exams. At ATCM, we work closely together with companies and organisations in the construction industry to provide you with the newest knowledge and insight, as well as giving you the opportunity to build a strong professional network in the industry during your studies.

We do this through our Masterclasses and Mentorship programme which runs from 1st semester throughout the entire study programme, with the purpose of preparing you in the best way possible for your future career.

Masterclasses

Over the course of your education with us, you will have 4-6 masterclasses within a company. At the masterclasses, hosted by a Danish company, you can meet Architectural Technology and Construction Management graduates and learn more about their daily tasks. You will get new knowledge in a study related area, solve cases and/or join a workshop. A masterclass takes place on location with the industry partner and has a duration of 2.5-5 hours.

Future career dreams
"Honestly, I have only considered internship abroad, before we started the masterclasses and the mentorship programme. But now, seeing a lot of internationals working in the field has helped me realise that there are SO many opportunities here in Denmark."

Kristians, ATCM student and Masterclass participant

Mentorship

At your 4th and 5th semester you will get the opportunity to have a mentor. A mentor is an international ATCM graduate who is now employed in an organisation or company in Denmark.
Mentors volunteer their time to guide, motivate and inspire you in your educational journey as well as in the process towards an internship in Denmark. The mentorship will be one-one or in small groups of 2-3 mentees pr. mentor. This is a unique opportunity for you to develop both personally and professionally.

Internship

At the 6th semester, you get to work independently in a company during your internship, solving tasks with the other employees. We generally recommend our international students to do your internship in Denmark, because having a professional network greatly increases your chances of finding a job after graduating.
