About the camps

• Content

  VIA's Onboarding Camps 2024 will take place on Campus Horsens and Campus Herning and will include an introduction to life in Danmark as well as social events.

  The final programme will be sent to participants before the camp. There may be minor differences in the programme between Horsens and Herning.

• Herning

  When?

  Who?

  International full degree students at VIA's campus Herning starting their studies fall 2024. The camp is unfortunately not available for exchange students.

  Preliminary programme, subject to changes

  • Day 1: Welcome and get to know each other, tour of campus, cultural introduction to Denmark. Meals included, including dinner.
  • Day 2: Dare to Danish 1! - Danish lessons, tour of Herning, introduction to Danish associations. Lunch and dinner included.
  • Day 3: Dare to Danish 2! - Danish lessons, meet local companies and learn about Danish work culture and job market
  • Day 4: Dare to Danish 3! - Danish lessons, introduction to the classroom and teaching style at VIA, closing ceremony, meet the locals and "hygge"

  Housing

  Housing during the camp is, as is the case during your studies at VIA, your own responsibility. Find information on housing options in each of our campus cities here. 
  Start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. Good options fill up quickly.

  * NB! VIA is entitled to cancel the camp if it has less than 30 registrants.
