What is Onboarding Camp?

VIA’s Onboarding Camp is a unique opportunity to prepare for your studies, life and future career in Denmark. Join the camp for the best beginning to your new everyday life in Denmark, get ahead academically, while getting to know your new city and fellow international students.

About the camp

  • VIA Onboarding Camp 2022 will be conducted as a hybrid-camp with a mix of online teaching and events as well as social events on campus to accommodate students arriving to Denmark just before study start.

    Here is what you get if you join VIA Onboarding Camp 2022.

    • Kick-off event - meet your fellow students and VIA staff, and get familiar with the tools we use during the camp.
    • Intensive online camp - Danish language course for beginners, cultural workshop, Employability Day with a chance to meet Danish companies, introduction to Danish workplace culture, learn about problem-based learning. You can participate online from home if you have not arrived in Denmark yet, or join other participants on campus.
    • Social events, networking and field trips.
    • And much more…
  • When?

    August 2022 - Kick-off event 10 August, online camp 17-19 August

    Social events - Dates t.b.a., will be conducted on campus after study start.


    Online via Zoom and social events available at three different campuses:

    Housing during the camp is, as is the case during your studies at VIA, your own responsibility. Find information on housing options in each of our campus cities here
    Start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. Good options fill up quickly. You can join the online part of the camp from your home country if you have not yet arrived in Denmark.

    * NB! VIA is entitled to cancel the camp if it has less than 30 registrants.

  • Registration is closed for Onboarding Camp 2022! 

    Places at VIA’s Onboarding Camp are limited and awarded on first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your place, please fill in the form above. You can pay the entrance fee now or, wait until you have received your admittance letter and accepted your study place

    When your registration is completed, you will receive a confirmation email along with payment information. Your place at the camp is secured once you have paid the entrance fee.  

    Note: In case you are not accepted at VIA, your entrance fee will be refunded.
