The programme Architectural Technology and Construction Management is CIAT-Accredited.

The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) is the international qualifying body for Architectural Technology and is the only authority able to award the professional qualification of Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT. 

The Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT is a regulated professional qualification under EU Directive 2005/36/EC - Mutual Recognition of Regulated Professions. 

VIA’s Architectural Technology and Construction Management programme is CIAT-Accredited, which implies that the programme has been assessed in terms of content, structure and resources and has met the required standards. It also provides assurances that students will be able to develop their academic, analytical, communication and employability skills.

In addition to free student membership during their studies, CIAT-Accredited degree holders are entitled to full exemptions for the Educational Standards section when completing the Professional Assessment application to become a Chartered Architectural Technologist, MCIAT.
