Information for Non-Danish applicants for the Design Technology and Business programme

Your application must be uploaded online at no later than 15 March at 12:00 noon.

An application to VIA Design consists of several steps

Step 1: 

  • Official online application at, the official online application portal in Denmark.
  • Copy of diploma/transcript of records including average marks and English language test (if required) and a Verification form for Mathematics must be uploaded at Download the Verification form here (pdf)
  • You receive a signature page with an application ID which is used by VIA Design to find your application in the system. Please send the signature page to before application deadline 15 March at 12:00 noon.

Step 2: 

  • The admission assignment is available for download on this page as of 15 March with two week’s preparation time. 
  • Please send admission assignment(s) (one per priority) including speciality form to stating "Admission assignment + specialty + your name" in the subject line.
  • All examination papers from summer examinations must be uploaded as soon as possible and no later than 5 July at 12:00 noon.

Application process for non EU/EØS applicants

Further to the procedure and deadlines described above, applications from non EU/EØS applicants include the following steps:

Application fee

Please note that the application is processed only when an application fee of 100 Euro has been paid before the application deadline of 15 March.

Visa application

A visa application may take up to three months to process. When you have paid the tuition fee, we will initiate the visa application process and you can continue with your visa application.

Deadline for payment of tuition fee is 15 May.
