Before you begin the exchange programme at VIA University College, you must have completed a part of and usually this means you have completed the first two years of a Bachelor Degree at your home university. Please pay attention to the prerequisites described in the course catalogue and be sure you meet the prerequisites for the courses you choose.
Computer
You must bring a laptop to all classes at VIA.
Computer requirements: WIFI connection and ability to run Windows 7 or above.
The computer must meet these requirements so that programmes for classroom instruction can be installed. We also recommend at least 2 GB RAM.
Free books
All books for courses at the Department of Software Engineering are lent out for free one semester at a time at the Campus Horsens Library.
Documentation of your current English language level
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide documentation of your English language level. VIA University College requires that you have an English level of B2 or higher (certificate is required), as you must be able to understand spoken English when following courses and be able to write assignments and reports in English.
As documentation, we accept confirmation of a B2 level from your home institution or one of the following internationally recognised language tests: TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS or the Cambridge ESOL test. For more information, please see:
