Conditional acceptance to VIA's programmes

As a general rule, VIA's programmes do not allow for conditional acceptance.

Several of VIA's programmes do allow for conditional acceptance. The programmes that allow for conditional acceptance will make this clear on their web page.

If you are in doubt or have questions about conditional acceptance, you can contact a student counsellor at the programme you would like to know more about.

What is conditional acceptance?

Conditional acceptance means that an educational institution can admit an applicant who does not fulfil the admission requirements under the condition that the requirements will be met before or immediately after the programme starts.

If the applicant does not fulfil the requirements for conditional acceptance before the programme begins, the offer of a study place is no longer valid.

Conditional acceptance is an exception to the general rule that applicants should fulfil the admission requirements at the time of application.
