Geothermal cooling and heating

We help develop solutions to the future of sustainable energy supply, geothermal heating and cooling grids, as well as effective technologies for adjusting to climate change.

Resilient energy distribution

We are experts in the fields of geothermal distric heating and cooling (using the Earth as a ‘battery’), resilient energy distribution, and preventive technologies. Our expertise revolves around how to use the Earth as provider of heat and cooling, not only for individual home owners, but as a collective solution for utilities.

The supply of sustainable energy has never been more urgent as today. Søren Erbs Poulsen, Senior Associate Professor, PhD

How we work

  • As applied researchers, we focus on practical demonstrations of new technologies in the field of energy production, distribution, and storage. We do so in cooperation with public and private partners, and our knowledge in the field is internationally recognized.

With the current European energy challenge, more interest has come to the use of geothermal energy.

We look at both the technical solutions and the distribution, ownership, and economy necessary to make geothermal energy systems attractive.

    Resilient energy distribution

It is increasingly clear that resilient energy production and distribution. Countries look to become less dependent on external sources of energy. We work with private and public partners to find new solutions in the area of energy resilience and preventive measures.
