The Research Centre for Care and Rehabilitation develops new solutions to healthcare challenges with a focus on helping patients, relatives and healthcare professionals through research and innovation. This includes improving treatments for citizens with multiple diseases and developing technologies that help them maintain their functional abilities. We conduct studies on and find solutions to mental health issues and have a continuous focus on ethical aspects of healthcare treatment.
Our research is based on close cooperation with healthcare professionals and contributes with new approaches, methods and technologies to strengthen education in the healthcare field. We build a bridge between different healthcare sectors and collaborate with VIA's other research environments as well as with private and public partners both nationally and internationally.
