My advice to someone who is planning to come to Denmark is to not overthink it, I can ensure that it will be the best decision ever Cristofor Mamaliga

Why Denmark?

I chose to study in Denmark because of two main factors: free education, which in my country is not possible yet, and also because of the education system. I always wanted to study in the Nordic countries. I believe in a more practical education, based on real life cases and solutions and group work, and in Denmark, it is all about that.

What was your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was not having a place to live when I arrived in Denmark. Because I applied for my studies to close to the deadline, when I was accepted, I did not have time to find accommodation that quick, so I arrived here without any idea where I would stay. I can say that one of my best experiences also came out from this challenge. You will always find someone from your own country here, and that was my case when I found a nice person who offered me their place for few weeks. Besides that, I always take all challenges as an opportunity to grow, so my whole experience of going abroad was a positive opportunity to test my capacity.

Plans for the future

Right now, I am taking Danish language classes, and that is not only because of a better integration in the Danish society but also because I want to make a career here. I would like to finish this education and take a master’s degree in Danish language and after that work in a Danish company in my area. I like the bureaucracy of this country which makes my life very easy, and life quality very high, so it is difficult already to see myself somewhere else.

What are the best things about living and studying in Denmark?

Bureaucracy. Yes, we do pay high taxes, but you can see that “you get what you pay for”. Free education, free health system and this are just few of the factors that make the whole experience of studying and working in Denmark the best.

My advice

My advice to someone who is planning to come to Denmark is to not overthink it, I can ensure that it will be the best decision ever. It is very easy to make new friends and the education here will prepare you at the highest level for your future career.
