Judit is an exchange student at the Nursing programme at VIA

Judit Carretero from Spain studied at the Nursing programme at VIA.

1) Why have you chosen VIA Nursing exchange programme?

I only had 4 options to do my Erasmus and this one was the most attractive since the first moment I read all the information.

2) What do you think of the programme?

I’m happy with the structure of the programme, because I had the opportunity to stay in a class, in the hospital and in the community care. Maybe I’d like to stay more time in the hospital doing my placement because back home I was supposed to stay for four months in the hospital.

3) What do you think of Denmark?

Denmark is an expensive country if I compare back home and also colder than Spain. But I’ve liked a lot living here for a semester because I’ve had the choice to know the lifestyle of another European country and I’ve realized that there’s a lot of differences but I just get the best of them and I love the combination.

4) What is the biggest cultural difference for you?

The biggest cultural difference for me is the time to eat, I’m used to have lunch around 13.30-14 and have dinner at 21.30-22.00 and between the big meals I have a snack. But here is so different! They are used to have lunch at 12.00 and just a sandwich and then the dinner is around 18.30 and they have a big meal, back home is totally the opposite, our lunch is bigger than the dinner.

I'm happy with the structure of the programme because I had the opportunity to stay in a class, in the hospital and in the community care.

5) What is your dream job(s)?

I think that my dream job would be the one that I can work on what I have decided and I feel comfortable and happy doing that. The one which motivates me to continue every day and makes me jump out of the bed to go to work. An important thing not to forget is that this job has to guarantee me a good lifestyle.
