Natascha studied abroad for the summer

Natascha Koppel is a social work student at Technische Hochschule Mannheim in Germany. She wanted to visit Denmark and decided to combine the visit with a study abroad experience by joining the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and Co Creation summer school.

At the summer school, Natascha did a lot of group work, which she was not used to at her home university. However, she was pleasantly surprised at what could be achieved when working in groups. Working together with people of different nationalities and from different professions brought different perspectives to the problem-solving process.

Apart from classes, Natascha also joined the social programme arranged by VIA, but also ventured out in Aarhus on her own with fellow students visiting bars, canoeing and swimming at the harbour bath.

Meet new people

“Just go for it! It is an incredible experience”, is Nataschas advise to anyone considering going to summer school and she reassures future students that everyone is new at the summer school and interested in getting to know new people.
