Want to work with innovation and entrepreneurship?

As a student at Campus Silkeborg, you have free access to VIA's Makerspaces, where you can use digital tools as 3D printers, laser cutters and robot technology.

The spaces allow you to work with your own ideas and get hands-on experience on developing prototypes.

  • At Campus Silkeborg classes are held in modern classrooms, and there are large, open spaces ideal for studying in groups as well as for socializing. 

    Campus Silkeborg offers: 

    • A spacious canteen focusing on health and organic food 
    • A well-equipped library with ample space for contemplation and studying 
    • A large sport centre with facilities for at variety of athletic activities      
    • A new multi-purpose facility which contributes to strengthening the multidisciplinary environment and academic life on campus 
    • A bright auditorium for lectures and various types of presentation 
    • Plenty of lounge areas for group work and social interaction 
    • A large student café for socialising and parties 
    • Student club facilities for the Friday bar and other social activities 

    With your student card, you have access to the campus outside of class hours.

  • At the VIA Student Incubator, students work with innovation and entrepreneurship. They learn to develop and generate new ideas and projects. 

    This might be the student’s own ideas, or external projects being carried out in co-operation with local institutions and companies, municipalities or regions. 

    Activities and advisory services 

    VIA Student Incubator in Silkeborg offers free innovation activities and advisory services about entrepreneurship.

    Biking in Silkeborg 

    You can also bike to campus. Biking is very popular in Denmark, and you can buy a bike cheaply or rent one if you like. 

    Silkeborg is generally very bike-friendly, and there are many biking lanes in most of the Silkeborg area.
