When the application deadline is reached, all applications will be assessed.
Once you have applied through the Danish admissions portal optagelse.dk, you will be able to follow the progress of your application on nemStudie.dk, as well as receive and send messages from/to VIA about your application.
You will receive a notification via email if you get new messages from VIA on nemStudie. It is your responsibility as an applicant to keep yourself informed about your application through nemStudie. Notifications may end up in your spam filter, so make sure to check it.
Assessment of your application
Applications received before deadline (15 March, 12 noon) will be assessed by the means of the following criteria:
- Admission assignment
- Exam results from your entry examination
When will I know if I have been admitted?
You will get an acceptance/rejection letter on 28 July. However, if 28 July is a Saturday or Sunday, you will be notified the Friday before 28 July. Acceptance letters are sent through nemStudie.dk.
Note: You must accept or reject your study place within 3 days of receiving an offer, otherwise the study place will be given to another applicant. If you are rejected because you do not fulfil the admission requirements, you will be notified in nemStudie as soon as we have processed your application. If you are rejected because you have not been offered a study place, we will notify you via e-mail on 28 July.
Appeals
You can submit an appeal to the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, if the appeal is against legal issues.
This means that you can appeal if you believe that the decision is in violation of applicable administrative law –for example, due to lack of justification or interpretation of the legislations. Academic assessments and specific judgements cannot be appealed.
If you still believe that the decision is in violation of applicable law, you may send your appeal to VIA University College, apply@via.dk, no later than 2 weeks after you have received the decision.
