If you have foreign exam results, you must always apply for the programme using optagelse.dk before 15 March at 12.00 noon.

If you plan to apply based on foreign exam results, we suggest you to have your exam evaluated by the ministry before you apply.
If you are not sure whether your exam can be considered equal of a Danish gymnasium exam, you can find information about entry qualifications from a number of countries as well as EB, IB Diploma, etc. help on the ministry's website.
At optagelse.dk you have to upload a copy of your original exam certificate plus a government authorised translation in Danish or English. If you do not upload a translation, your application may be refused.
Tests in Danish
All applicants with foreign exam results applying to VIA's Danish-language programmes will be asked for documentation of “Studieprøven i dansk” or equivalent proficiency in Danish before 5 July at 12.00 noon.
Applicants with foreign exam from Sweden, Norway and applicants with exam results from Duborg Skolen and A.P. Møller-Skolen and applicants holding either a Norwegian or Swedish exam equivalent to the Danish language proficiency are exempt from this requirement.
Please note: Based on concrete evaluations, other applicants may also be required to submit exam results from Danish tests or documentation for Danish language proficiencies.
