Aims and learning outcomes in International Class and Teacher Education

The modules have different learning goals and result in different learning outcomes.

Learning aims

During the semester you will learn to:

  • Develop and plan lessons with a multicultural approach
  • Employ innovative learning processes in teaching
  • Apply entrepreneurial approaches in teaching
  • Acquire intercultural communication and research skills with special reference to the international dimension in the Danish primary and lower secondary school
  • Develop an understanding of the teaching profession with reference to the school and educational system in other countries
  • Develop your classroom management skills with focus on relational work and dialogue
  • Develop lessons that are based on dialogic principles.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the modules students will be able to:

  • Develop and implement multicultural perspectives in educational contexts
  • Manage learning processes that take into account the development of the individual pupil
  • Employ conflict management competence in various educational contexts
  • Apply intercultural communication skills and research skills with special reference to the international dimension in the Danish school system
  • Understand some of the challenges future teachers face with reference to the changing school demography in different countries
  • Make professional choices in relation to classroom management
  • Make professional choices that promote dialogic teaching.
