How we work

  • At the Centre, we are experts on water treatment and distribution, quality, treatment, design and delivery. We have expertise with water used for district heating, sewage, and process use as well as drinking water and distribution.

Denmark is known for our expertise in ground water protection. We don’t treat our drinking water with chlorine, but only with biological agents. Increasingly, other countries are looking to reduce the use of chlorine, because it kills helpful microorganisms – as well as the pathogenic ones.

Supporting the future of drinking water quality and distribution is important. So, we participate in projects with Danish and international authorities, utilities and companies in designing the sustainable water utilities of the future. This includes looking at biology, technology and safety measures.
