21-year old Adéla Wagnerova from the Czech Republic and 24-year old Giacomo Piccinni from Italy both study at the Design and Business bachelor top-up programme in Herning and have chosen the Fashion Design speciality. Both of them always had a dream to go abroad to study to see what else is out there.
Adéla is a big fan of the way the study programme combines business with creativity, while Giacomo enjoys the close collaboration with the Dansih textile industry centered in region around campus.
Guidance rather than teaching
When it comes to teaching Adéla likes the fact that it takes place in an informal and supportive way that comes across as guidance in the creative process rather than teaching. Team work is a central part of the everyday life at Fashion Design and students are able to do projects with students from other specialities, getting inspiration from each other.
The importance of the internship
To Giacomo, his internship at Only and Sons was a very important step in his student life and career. Here, he was able to show his abilities as a graphic designer and fashion designer and his performance lead to a student job after the end of the internship. He thinks that Denmark has a great work/life balance, with time for friends and a social life.
