About the International Sales and Marketing Management study programme

  The programme combines theory with practice through project work and case studies from a broad range of companies. 

  The programme emphasises business-to-business sales. The focus is on overall themes covered by core subjects including sales and marketing, supply chain management, business law, management/organisation and economics.

  1st semester (programme start September)

  The semester is structured around two themes:

  • Theme 1: The company’s strategic basis

  • Theme 2: The customer as the starting point

  2nd semester (programme start February)

  The semester is structured around two themes.

  • Theme 3: Industry and Competitors

  • Theme 4: Sales management and the sales development of the company

  Elective elements are also included in this semester.

  Each semester represents 30 ECTS points.

  All of our courses are described in detail in the above-mentioned curriculum.

  Evaluation and exams

  All subjects will be examined either during the course of study or at the end of the semester. Exams are both oral and written. Your performance will be assessed in several subjects by an examiner and a co-examiner, either external or internal.

• Enrolment

  VIA University College expects you to have completed two year of your degree course at your home university. In most cases, this will be the first two years of a B.Sc.

  We work in close cooperation with your home university to ensure that you will receive credit at your home university for each course you successfully complete at VIA University College. 

  Documentation of your current English language level

  If English is not your first language, you will need to provide documentation of your English language level. VIA University College requires that you have an English level of B2 or higher (certificate is required) as you must be able to understand spoken English when following courses and be able to write assignments and reports in English.

  As documentation, we accept confirmation of a B2 level from your home institution or one of the following internationally recognised language tests: TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS or the Cambridge ESOL test. For more information, please see:

• How to apply

  Your home institution must have an inter-institutional agreement with VIA University College in order for you to be able to apply for an exchange programme at VIA.

  If an agreement exists, you will be able to fill in the application form. Please be aware that VIA must receive a nomination from your home institution as well.

• Fees and tuition

  Exchange students do not pay tuition fees.

  Per definition, exchange stays are an exchange of one or more students between partner universities and therefore, exchange students do not pay tuition fees.

If your institution is not a partner of VIA and you would like us to discuss the possibility of establishing an exchange agreement with your home institution, please contact us at partnerships@via.dk.
