The school is located in the midst of one of the strongest film and media centres in Denmark; in the heart of Filmby ("Film City") Aarhus. We benefit from close contact with related industries, from which we bring in a large number of guest lecturers.

The city of Aarhus is a vibrant university town, close to the beach and forests, with a population of 310,000 people including more than 60,000 students in higher education. That makes Aarhus a young city with a lot of opportunities for students, including cultural experiences and a great nightlife.

Visit www.visitaarhus.com for more information about the city

  • We warmly welcome international students. Studying at the school for a semester is a unique opportunity to specialise and dive into the field of transmedia – as well as an opportunity to get to know Denmark.

If your university does not have a partner agreement with VIA Film & Transmedia, it is still possible to study at VIA, but for a fee. Alternatively, you can ask the international coordinator at your institution to contact us about the possibility.

If you are a graduate wishing to study for a semester with us to strengthen your profile, it is also possible to do so for a fee.
